So I created a Facebook account (after years of staying away from it) to located some of my old buddies and possibly keep in touch with them. I did not use my full name but I used my first name.

As I started using my account I located an old friend and sent them a message to which they replied and sent a friend request, great I figured, not so bad! the next day I was watching some video and right in the middle of the video, the page reloaded and took me to another page saying I violated the terms of use or something like that, after which, facebook asked me to verify my phone number, so I reluctantly entered my secondary phone number and I received a code which I entered into the verification page, facebook then took me to another page saying I have to submit my photo (with details instructions on lighting and no one else but me in the photo etc) for verification of the account (mind you this is a new account, not even one message or post or like), so I hesitated and wanted to log out then a message pops up you have 30 days to verify or this account will be permanently deleted, so I thought about it for few days then submitted a picture, then facebook displayed a message saying:

Thank you for sending your information.
We have fewer people available to review information due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This means we may be unable to review your account.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Are you kidding me? even my bank verification is not as absurd as this?

Why does facebook want to link my account to my phone to my photo? There is no sensitive information to warrant such strict rules!

At this point, I am not sure whether or not I will hear back from facebook, but I don't feel like using them at all. What if I had friended a bunch of my old friends then facebook locked me out of my account! Such a disappointment!
